Holiday Open House and Trunk Show at Finders Keepers Boutique + Menswear!

We love our new space, and we want to show it off! So we're celebrating the holiday season and our super cute rennovation with a little open house, which will feature a trunk show by local artist Jan Cash. Jan designs beautiful one-of-a-kind hand knotted jewelry pieces. Learn more about Jan and see pictures of her inventory on her Etsy page: http://www.jancashdesigns1.etsy.com/

A little bit about Jan:
Jan is an Atlanta artist who designs and hand-makes jewelry featuring vintage and new glass, pearls, semi-precious stones, and custom hand-made hang tags. Her hand-knotting technique, using sterling silver and 14K gold-filled findings, gives each unique piece a delicate and airy look, making the design elements appear to be suspended in air. Each necklace and bracelet has a sterling silver tag with the artist’s signature. Jan is a self-taught artist who works out of her Druid Hills studio. In her spare time she paints in the pointillist style. Like her jewelry, her paintings are colorful and detailed. She has a husband; two children, a dog and two cats.

I almost fainted... literally

"I almost fainted... literally." That was the email that I got from the manager of our Boutique when she sent me pictures of new arrivals yesterday. I had to pinch myself as I scrolled through the images of the new inventory: a beautiful, quilted Chanel handbag, a Judith Leiber evening clutch with mirror and change purse, a diamond and black onyx David Yurman neclace, a Chanel necklace, a Judith Ripka 3 piece jewelry set, a Nancy Gonzalez crocodile clutch, and a Prada handbag. Check out the pictures below!

Top Tips from Helen Preston

Helen Preston with Rise and Organize shared some great tips for organizing your jewelry with the space that you have. If you missed the workshops, here are a few easy tips that she wanted to leave you with:

1. Give the jewelry you wear most often the prime location - and the same location - every time you take it off.
2. Keep everything in the same area so you don't have to check twenty places for where it "might" be.
3. Determine which approach works best for you: wall, drawer, or surface. Organize accordingly.

Taming your Jewelry Jungle

Jewelry is a great way to add a quick finish to any outfit. But it's not so simple to throw on a necklace when it's hopelessly tangled with two other chains and bobbles. And that perfect pair of earrings isn't so perfect when you can only find one of them. Jewelry may seem like a small thing, but when you can't find it or detangle it, that perfect touch can turn into a source of stress and wasted time. During this Saturday's free workshop at Finders Keepers Furnishings, NAPO member Helen Preston will give you simple tips to organize your jewelry with the space that you have, and will help you learn how to keep it that way. This workshop will begin at 9:30 am sharp. Learn more about Helen on her website: http://www.riseandorganize.com/.

Meet Helen this Saturday!

Did you know? Finders Keepers Furnishings has three large cases filled with fantastic jewelry: costume pieces, fine jewelry, gem stones, vintage, and more!
